Bihar government is providing huge subsidy to the farmers for farming through polyhouse and shade net. This scheme is to increase the income of farmers and increase production. Subsidy will be up to 50% per square meter for polyhouse and 50% for shade net. Farmers will be given 50% subsidy of the cost of Rs 935 per square metre. Benefits of this scheme include 90% reduction in pest attack, reduction in temperature by 3-5 degrees Celsius, fruit and vegetable cultivation, water conservation by drip irrigation, wind deadening capability, and doubling of farmers' income.
