- Appearance of yellow leaves in paddy crop is a sign of zinc deficiency.

Preventive measures:
- Use of zinc sulfate: Use 10-15 kg of zinc sulfate per acre at the time of sowing.
Foliar spray: Foliar spray of zinc sulfate should be done while the crop is growing.
Soil testing: Get information about essential nutrients by getting the soil of the field tested.
Balanced fertilizer use: Use balanced fertilizers including nitrogen, phosphorus, potash and zinc.
