The month of August is important for the sugarcane crop. Insects, diseases and waterlogging are a problem in this month. To prevent the sugarcane crop from falling, tying should be done in the first week. Dhaicha or Sunai sown for green manure should be buried in the field after 45-60 days. A solution of 5% urea should be prepared and sprayed before the rain. Arrangement for drainage should be made in the field. Weeds should be removed and thrown out of the field. Selection of different varieties of sugarcane in nurseries for sowing and arrangement for obtaining seed sugarcane should be made. Kundwa, Kana, Vivarn, Laldhari, Pokka disease, pulp rot disease should be inspected and prevented. Top borer, black spotter, white insect, pyrilla, sprout borer, gurudaspur borer should be inspected and controlled.
