A Grain ATM has been installed in Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha. This ATM distributes grains instead of cash, allowing people to get grains 24x7. 50 kg of grains can be distributed in 5 minutes from the Grain ATM. It was launched by Odisha Food Minister Krishna Chandra Patra on 8 August. To withdraw grains from this machine, the ration card holder has to enter the Aadhaar or ration card number, then grains can be obtained after biometric authentication. The country's first Green ATM was installed in Gurugram, Haryana in 2021.
