Krishi Vigyan Kendra of Punjab Agricultural University, Patiala organized a field day on stubble management techniques. Information about wheat sown using surface sowing technique was shared and the plots sown by using this technique were also demonstrated. About 52 farmers from Patiala district participated in this Agriculture Day. Dr. Gurpreet Singh Sidhu made the farmers aware about the benefits of paddy straw management in the field and sowing of wheat using surface seeder technology. Dr. Hardeep Singh Sabhikhi told about the problem of weed in wheat sown with surface seed machine and the importance of seed modification.
