Farmer Devendra Dawande brought turkey berry plants from Tamil Nadu and grafted brinjal and tomato on them. Through this process, two types of vegetables have grown in one plant and the results are getting better. A farmer from Madhya Pradesh has also done grafting on brinjal and tomato plants, which is surprising the people. Farmer Devendra Dawande also took the help of social media and experimented, in which two varieties each of brinjal and tomato are being produced. According to him, with this type of grafting the plants can produce 50 to 100 kg of brinjal and 30 to 40 kg of tomatoes in a year. According to agricultural scientists, grafting is a verified method and four types of crops can be grown from a single plant.
