Dhanshyam Kushwaha, a farmer from Bankheri in Narmadapuram district of Madhya Pradesh, created a new record this year by cultivating improved wheat seed DBW 327 purchased from my farmhouse. Last year he had produced 303 and 305 varieties, but this time after adopting 327 variety, he got 1 to 2 quintals more production per acre. This new variety gave him a great production of 22 to 25 quintals per acre, which proved his hard work successful.
Dhanshyam Kushwaha watered his crop thrice, and the yield of DBW 327 variety of wheat was good. He used proper amount of urea and other nutrients, due to which the crop did not face any kind of disease. He also felt that this variety is more disease resistant and productive than other wheat varieties.
This success of Dhanshyam Kushwaha shows that if farmers choose the right seeds and adopt modern agricultural techniques, they can get more production. He not only produced better crops, but also found the 327 variety more profitable than 303 and 305. His achievement is a source of inspiration for other farmers, so that they too can move towards advanced agriculture.
