The number of ploughs was found to be 385298, bullock carts 132981, electric pumps 4375, diesel pumps 125167, tractors 62433 and sugarcane crushers 1134 in Bundelkhand region, Uttar Pradesh. The number of ploughs (28.15%) and bullock carts (32.58%) were found to be higher in Banda than in other districts. The number of electric pumps was found to be higher in Jhansi (35.77%), Banda (19.04%) and Chitrakoot (17.33%) than in other districts. The number of diesel pumps was found to be higher in Lalitpur (25.91%), Jhansi (23.39%) and Mahoba (14.72%) than in other districts. Number of tractors was found to be higher in Jalaun (25.16%), Jhansi (19.71%), Hamirpur (18.83%) compared to other districts, while lowest number was found in Chitrakoot (4.41%). Higher number of sugarcane crushers was found in Jalaun (22.66%) and Hamirpur (22.57%), while lower number was found in other districts like Jhansi (8.91%) and Chitrakoot (5.11%).
