Caring for animals is extremely important during the rainy season and the Animal Husbandry Department is running a special awareness campaign. Due to increased humidity, the immunity of animals decreases, which increases the risk of diseases. Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry Department Dr. S.K. Tripathi said that animal keepers should take special care of animals during the rainy season. Keep animals in a dry place where there is enough air and sunlight, and take care of cleanliness. Clean the place where animals are kept on a paved floor with disinfectant medicine twice a week. Use mosquito nets in the animal enclosure to prevent parasites and consult a veterinarian. Clean the hooves because fungus grows in this season and care of hooves is necessary. Give medicine for stomach worms on time and get regular vaccination done. If symptoms of disease appear, immediately contact the veterinary hospital and get proper treatment.
