The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain for the next 3 days. Heavy rains accompanied by strong winds may occur in Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and other states. Under Monsoon 2024, the southwest monsoon will advance into Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab in the next 2-3 days. Heavy rains with thunderstorms are likely in northwest and central India in the next 5 days. Heavy rain alert has been issued in various states till July 5, 2024. Various parts of northwest and central India will receive heavy rains in the next 5 days. Heavy rains are expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad today. Heavy rain warning has been issued in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and East Rajasthan till July 5. Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Rayalaseema, Telangana and Karnataka will receive scattered rainfall in the next 5 days. Scattered rainfall is likely over Gujarat, Konkan and Goa during July 2-5. Heavy rain is warned in various areas of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from today. Light to moderate rain is likely over Northeast India, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim in the next 5 days.
