During the survey of pink bollworm by experts of Punjab Agricultural University, it was found that in some fields of 60-70 days old cotton crop, pink bollworm has attacked the flowers. Whereas, the younger cotton crops are mostly free from pink bollworm attack. Pink bollworm attack has already happened in Rajasthan and Haryana and now it can attack the villages of Punjab adjoining it. Experts advised the farmers to keep surveying their fields regularly every week and prevent it by spraying insecticides as per the need.
