The Madhya Pradesh government has started registration of farmers to sell paddy, jowar and millet for Kharif marketing year 2024-25. The registration process will run from 19 September to 4 October. Farmers can register by paying a fee of Rs 50 or for free. For registration, the farmer must have land related documents, Aadhaar card, photo identity card and mobile number linked to Aadhaar. Registration can be done through Gram Panchayat, Janpad Panchayat office, cooperative societies or MP Kisan App. Registration can also be done through MP Online Kiosk, CSC, and cyber cafe by paying a fee. To sell the crop at the support price, it is mandatory to have bank account and mobile number linked to Aadhaar number. The central government has set a target of purchasing 485 lakh tonnes of paddy this year. MSP on normal paddy has been fixed at Rs 2300 and on grade-A paddy at Rs 2320 per quintal. â–ºMoney will be sent to the bank account through DBT, so DBT option should be enabled.
